There is a lot of buzz in top sports about this Japanese Gallium Wax, the fact is that it is more ecological than Fluorine wax and that your chances of winning increase significantly. So if you are a speed freak or amateur slalom skier, you now know which wax to buy!
Gallium Wax gets its name from the gallium rock. This wax contains super small flakes that will repel water enormously, making your gliding ability sky-high compared to other wax variants. Since gallium is a rock, it is also good for nature and is used in top sports as an alternative to Fluorine.
Gallium is not a universal wax. It comes in different colors which should indicate the suitable ambient temperature.
- Green: –20 to -10°C
- Rose: -0 to +10°C
- Purple: -4 to +3°C
Before you start waxing, it is best to check the weather forecast. Unless you go indoor skiing or snowboarding. Then wax your shred stick with Gallium Green Wax, which is ideal for hard dry snow, but is also ideal for repairing your dried out ski or snowboard.
