The German-made Clew Freedom 1.0 binding ensures a tight fit with your snowboard boots. In addition, this Clew snowboard binding increases your comfort thanks to a unique combination of Step-on and Strap-ins. As with any strap binding, you use straps and buckles to safely strap yourself to your snowboard. However, an ingenious mechanism allows you to step out of your bindings without having to loosen your straps again! When you want to drink or eat something, you can easily click the highback off your board and get off using the Clew strap.
A combination of plastic and nylon, reinforced with glass fibers, makes these snowboard bindings very responsive. Suitable for all-mountain, off-piste and the park. Although we must immediately tell you that these are slightly less suitable for jibbing, for example, due to their stiffer character.
To avoid vibrations and vibrations on buckles and ice, this Clew Freedom 1.0 snowboard binding is equipped with a comfortable basepad. Of course, the essential parts such as the toe and ankle strap can be adjusted without tools thanks to the toolless screws.
You can of course quickly adjust the sturdy and stiff highbacks to the slope you want. This is to give you just that little bit more grip on your edges while cornering.
The Clew Freedom 1.0 consists of two parts. The first part, the highback, can be attached to any soft boot. The highback is sturdy but light, designed in such a way that it hardly bothers you while walking. The second part, the base, is permanently mounted on your snowboard. You can easily connect the highback and base by standing on it. These click together automatically. Using your hands is not necessary. Thanks to the patented locking mechanism, the Clew Freedom 1.0 also works when the binding is covered with snow or ice. To get out of the binding, all you have to do is pull the red lever. The mechanism opens, the highback releases and you can immediately step out of the snowboard binding. The CLEW binding - unlike the Burton Step On bindings, for example - has deliberately retained the basic structure of a buckle binding. This preserves the unsurpassed riding experience of strap bindings and makes you feel safe in every situation. In addition, you have all the usual adjustment options to reset your binding at any time and adapt it to your wishes.
These Clew bindings are available in black or white, in Small (34-38), Medium (38-43) and Large (44-48). In addition, you can of course purchase separate base plates that you can permanently mount on your different snowboards. This way you can immediately change plates during your holiday!
