With this Alu Oxide stone you can remove burrs (unevenness) as well as rust from your base and sidewalls, they are an affordable replacement for diamond files, and less aggressive than an iron file that you use during sharpening.
You use these Alu Oxide stones to regularly polish your ski and snowboard edges, so that you have to file less often. By keeping your ski and snowboard edges in good condition, you can cut through snow and ice more easily, allowing you to keep your edge better, or start your turns faster.
The Alu Oxide stones from Wax'n Board come in 3 “grits”, nl 200 (rough), 400 (medium) & 800 (fine) so that you can polish from rough to finer. Our advice is to buy the set of 3, do you have a tight budget? Then buy at least the 400 grit for general use.
Tip! Use cutting oil or moisten the stones before use, so they last longer.
